Miniature Painting wins Award at Mariposa, CA

Hi All:

I want to share my joy at finding out that one of my miniature paintings recently took an award (2nd place) at the annual miniature paintings competition at the Sierra Artist’s Gallery in Mariposa, CA. The painting, titled “Daily Swim” is 2.5 X 2.5″ in size and is an encaustic painting.  I have been participating in miniature art shows nationally and internationally for over 15 years, with these venues providing me a different circle of artist friends from all over the world.  I enjoy painting “in miniature” due to the difficulty of such renderings; I was honored to be selected to judge the miniature art show in 2015 put on by Masterworks of New Mexico in Albuquerque, NM.  This was a new experience for me which gave me more insight into my own work.
