This is a black and white painting. I picture a dark canyon with the moon creating shadows and light. The night is forever changing as the shadows and light change with the moon’s movement. This painting is one of the paintings that I started working with clayboard. I found that the surface is a harder one than the paper and canvas that I was used to. I really enjoy working on the board but I just had to get used to the surface not giving. I love winter scenes, and since I spent my childhood in Nebraska, I have seen many scenes with the sun shinning on the snowy, winter landscapes. 11 x 14 Clayboard, Beeswax
