Marooned

On my blank canvas I started to make a design in the middle of it. I saw what seemed to be a faint outline of a ancient ship that had been marooned. The ship looked as if it was on its side. So the painting developed from this idea. I put the people from the ship on to the shore between two cliffs with a mid afternoon sun in the background. This painting tells a story but I bet there is more to tell from each human figure that came from the ship.
